CHum Faculty Have Backgrounds in Humanities and Technology
Faculty for CHum Program classes have technology experience and skills, of course, but also come from Humanities disciplines. Among them you'll find degrees in Spanish, English, Russian, Library Science, French and Linguistics; not to mention History and Political Science.
Students Create Portfolios in CHum 230
In CHum 230, students learn how to use industry-standard desktop publishing software to produce printed publications of different types. With the emphasis on creating something rather merely knowing something, a typical final examination doesn't fit the purpose of the class. So at the end of the semester, students submit a portfolio of their work for grading instead.
